Just the TWO YEARS after my previous journal post!
No surprise I've never kept a diary 🙁
So why the lapse?
and why try again?
Quite a lot of life changes...
Job, and online contract work reduced my time dramatically.
Still should have done better, but it is what it is.
I did enjoy journaling the first few months of this site. Just ran out of steam. I figure my attention span may only last a few months.
Pot Pie Girl (a v successful WAer) promoted a product called "Shiny Object Lemonade" a $5 WSO offer.
The product really inspired a lot of ideas, particularly of journalling the actions and results.
So that's what I'm going to do.
Things Learned In The Interim
For anyone new or considering following the Wealthy Affiliate system to earn supplimentary income.
Following the training, and maintaining a consistent regime of content creation really will pay results.
However that's not really what I've done, much to my own detriment.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for the supplimentary income I've created... but a little more focus and dedication would have taken me much further.
Turns out I like using paid traffic (specifically Bing PPC).
It's fast and dependable.
Kyle's PPC training works very nicely.
Wish I'd started list building and learning email marketing sooner.
It's just smart.
Be careful what you wish for.
I built a small portfolio of clients I provided online marketing services for (the stuff WA taught me). This was without doubt the fastest and most lucrative business...
Ungrateful as it sounds, it wasn't what I wanted.
My goal is a more passive retirement funding business.
On this point...
Evergreen recurring paying affiliate programs are the bomb.
Membership programs, software and services are fantastic programs to promote... sell once get paid repeatedly.
