CLIQLY Holiday Season Weather Warning!
No; not real weather, business weather…
Specifically a significant drop in profit from emailing in Cliqly Pro.
Happened last year, happening this year. Bobby is also warning of this in his update videos.
Mid July to the end of August are the WORST period in email marketing. Holidays and hopefully good real weather mean people are less attached to email…
Less opens, less clicks, less profit.
But still a smaller PROFIT 🙂
The good news is the September to Christmas and January to mid March are the BEST.
So don’t panic, nothing is going wrong, nothing is broken.
How Big Of a Drop Are We Talking?
I record all my weekly results here, but if we look at last weeks key number.
Last weeks average earnings for sending 10,000 emails in Cliqly Pro was $1.41
Now this week so far…
I’m slightly estimating Cliqly list building ‘Clickers’ value.
So have called Cliqly Pro click value at $78
I mail 250,000 each day in Cliqly Pro = 1,250,000 emails sent this week
Divide $78 by 1.25M then multiply by 10k to get $0.624 per 10,000 emails sent in Cliqly Pro
So a BIG drop from $1.41 per 10k
BUT I’m only paying…
So the screen grab above shows my version of Abby Hunjo’s Cliqly Calculator which I use to drop the credit deals I use.
This takes into account the 40% coupon code AND the free 1,000,000 Cliqly Pro credits people get when they buy any credit package.
I mostly buy the Millions Credit Package which includes both list building and Cliqly Pro credits. The Cliqly Pro cost for sending 10,000 emails is $0.24, so even though profits have dropped I’m still more than doubling my money against this week lower performance.
The other credit package I use when I ONLY want Cliqly Pro credits is the standard 1 million package which after coupon codes and free credits means a $0.38 cost per 10,000 Cliqly Pro emails. Nat as good, but still profitable.
What’s About List Building?
So far we’ve only talked about sending emails in Cliqly Pro, which is were the profit is.
But we should keep list building – right?
As you can see from my screen grab above, sending Cliqly List building emails cost me $1.02 per 10,000.
Which will eat into, or total consume my reduced Cliqly Pro sending profits.
So what’s the best strategy?
Ease right back on list building through the holiday period and continue to profit?
Or, build in preparation for the best emailing period starting in September?
Honestly, I’m not sure.
I’m going to test sending 300,000 Cliqly List building all on Mondays, and see how it goes.
If it goes badly I’ll reduce to 100,000 Cliqly list building per week.
I’ll update through my results posts.
Happy Holidays 🙂
