Wealthy Affiliate Case Study

Wealthy Affiliate Case StudyEvergreen Keyword Profits…

The idea is to rank high in Search Engines (Google Bing being the top dogs) and earn free traffic with content that helps people and can potentially earn you money.

WA have been teaching this for over 10 years and it works.

Success is dependent on the keyword research (understanding how easy or hard it will be to rank highly) and the quality and quantity of your content. This is a mix of art and science and results cannot be guaranteed. Though consistent quality is a winning strategy.

I created a detailed post on Wealthy Affiliates content ranking system here…

For my WA case study I’ve decided to do a number of small case studies showing how I use the system in my online business looking for evergreen keywords that I can profit from for hopefully years….

Quick Case Study 1

The Four Percent Challenge (FPC) product is important for my business. It’s a product that at this point I love though it’s only in phase 1 and therefore not yet complete.

The FPC is a relatively new product and so keyword research figures are going to be low. I also anticipate a growing interest in this product as news of it gathers pace. I am a promotional partner of Four Percent and providing the product retains it’s quality don’t expect this to change.

Therefore attracting visitors interested in finding out if the Four Percent Challenge and core products work is important to my business.

Keyword Research:

Jaaxy free keyword tool showing under 10 searches per month for the keyword Four Percent Challenge Case Study

So this is telling me that there is nobody searching for this term and therefore it’s super easy to rank for 🙂

Content Intent:

Personally I prefer consuming case-studies than product reviews as they normally tell me way more about the product.

In trying to provide the most help to people interested in FPC I feel journalling my experience will be very helpful especially as I have opted to use a couple of less costly tools to help keep my costs down.

So the intent of the content is to provide great information and only encourage click throughs to the Four Percent Challenge sales funnel from people who fully understand the product.

KPI’s:

I’m looking to see much higher sales percentage conversions from the tracking software for visitors that come via this keyword / content.

I would also expect to see a steady rise in traffic as well because it’s my ‘hunch’ that this keyword will become popular over time.

    • Hi Zoe,

Yes, Keyword research is critical. The good news is there are tools that do all the hard work for you (free as well as you saw).

Plus with new products released every day there is never going to be any shortage of opportunity.

The above case study is great, because it’s fast and simple, but pay attention to the logic and simplicity of the site structure and keywords used.

Again the content is well written (Frank outsourced this to someone of Fiverr.com) but nothing that you can’t replicate.

WA teaches people how to do keyword research properly, build their websites and content to help visitors which in turn leads to click throughs, sales and commissions for you!

      Also… NO BACKLINKING!

Get the keyword research right, create good content and you don’t need to backlink or do any other SEO shenanigans…

    • Hi Mack,

I would say not the way Google is today.

The idea with WA’s free WordPress websites is to let people test out the tech, and the whole idea of building a website, before investing in their own domain name and hosting.

The work you put into your free WA website won’t be wasted, because it’s super easy to move everything to your own domain and hosting once your ready.

I’d also add that though the free WA websites may not rank in Google it doesn’t stop them being able to earn money. You could still create a site like Frank did in the case study above, but you’d have to attract visitors through either social media, video, or paid advertising. A great way of testing out a site idea without having to spend buy everything.

  1. Frank says hes uses Fiver for his articles and also leaves a link to that particular writer. What work do you have to do prior to getting them to write the article i.e Did Frank do all the subheadings and give it to the writer, Did he send the writer the webpage minus the articles, Did he just tell the writer it was a review site for ….. and they came up with the rest?? Love this WA site I’ll be joining up and so is my son. Cheers

    • Hi Daniel, with Fiverr criteria can change between writers but normally you will be responsible for specifying the product, the primary keyword, and the other keywords you want included in the review text.
