   A question rather than reply…….. I have not, to date, been able to know what the PRODUCT is that is being sold and purchased. There never to seems be a durable ‘good’ that is sold. IS THERE A PRODUCT here? I’ve figured out that programs Morrison, Wealthy Affiliate etc, the product is an educational course which is then sold to others and I get paid if they come through my site. It appears that what I’ve really figured out is that most, if not all, of these things are in reality – a pyramid. I join, someone got paid. A video is being watched by someone, somewhere and if they join, someone gets paid. If I make a site, pay for traffic and someone who arrived on my site watches a video and then joins (purchases), I get paid. Do I have this right or have I missed the boat somehow? Thank you.

      Hi Charles …GREAT Question.

      1. Firstly you have products which can take the form of training, software services, books etc. Which in the simplest scenario are sold by the companies that own the products. Like Thrive Themes for example the company behind the website Theme and plugins this site uses. They market their own stuff.
      2. Many companies have affiliates. People not employed by the company who can earn a commission on product sales if they promote the product and attract customers. As an example I use Thrive Themes products and promote them as an affiliate. I promote many of the products I use.
      3. Pyramid is a term used to describe network or multi level marketing programs. As an example if Thrive Themes incentivised me as an affiliate to ‘recruit’ other affiliates in return for a share of the commissions they earned through their own efforts that would represent a 2nd level of commission potential for me – right?
      Some programs offer almost unlimited levels which is where the ‘pyramid’ label comes from.
      4. And there are also hybrid models such as Amazon who do have some of their own products but mostly operates as a marketplace and as affiliates for other peoples products.

      As another example you mention Wealthy Affiliate which is a membership training site that teaches people how to create websites that rank in search engines for whatever purpose people want. Many of the Wealthy Affiliate membership create sites to promote their own business, or act as Amazon affiliates (very popular) some like me also promote the Wealthy Affiliate training as an affiliate. Note WA only pays commission on 1 level so is not a Multi level or pyramid model.

      Four Percent Group is a hybrid that teaches people how to be successful entrepreneurs through a membership training product called The “Four Percent Challenge”. This is a step by step training that incorporates the required mindset (which has to change as you develop) strategy, and daily actions. The company has 2 other core products Internet Traffic Mastery and E-Stage. To be a success online you need to attract visitors (traffic) and need to own your own platform (website) where you can communicate with them.

      Internet Traffic Master (the traffic) and E-Stage can be used in conjunction with the Challenge to accelerate your progress. But each can also be independent.

      Four Percent also allows affiliates or promotional partners, BUT charges their affiliates a fee for the right.They do provide a lot of additional value for promotional partners (like me) but that’s another conversation…

         Update Nov 2018: Four Percent Group no longer charges for people to join their affiliate program nor is there any requirement to buy products to promote them.

   so is my $49 i paid for a month which isn’t over gone or what??????????????

      Good question.

      No. Here’s why…

      Firstly you can refund through Clickbank if you don’t like what’s coming.

      I don’t know what’s coming but based on the Facebook Group and Vick’s recent live streams I think the $49 monthly is going to be replaced by a one-time payment deal for ‘new’ starters to the Four Percent Challenge.

      But for people like you that have joined a monthly paid membership model, I would expect it to continue (just my opinion I could be wrong).

      In my opinion, the re-worked Four Percent Challenge will be a better product for showing how to build a long-term ‘real’ business without the implied need to promote Four Percent Products in your plan.

      If I were you I’d join the Four Percent Facebook Group or watch for emails from Vick (if on his list) as this should be cleared up this week (presuming the tech testing goes well).
